Thank you to all!

The money raised from the Grandparents' Coffee morning, held after Mass on the 14th September, was kindly donated to our SVP Conference.

We would also like to thank those who have continued to provide Sainsbury's Gift vouchers to us throughout the year.

These have been of great support to our Parish families in need, especially during  the school holidays.

We have also received generous donations from an anonymous benefactor throughout the year, which we deeply appreciate.

You are all in our Prayers.

Farewell!

Bon Voyage to a steadfast friend and SVP member, Ann Hanley, who has moved to the other side of the world to start a new life with her family.

She held the role of Secretary to our Conference before and throughout Covid and has been a great support to many groups in our Parish.

 Lent Soup Lunches - 21st & 28th February, 6th, 13th & 20th March

An astonishing £1880 was raised and all thanks must be given to all those who helped and who attended, what a generous Parish we have.

All were welcome to our Soup Lunches, which take place on Wednesday throughout Lent. These lunches have become a regular event where our parishioners can gather and meet up with friends and more importantly, meet new friends.  Delicious soup is served from 12noon - 1.30pm.

As always all donations received were for SVP projects in Sudan & South Sudan.

SVP Appeal – we need your continuing support

The St Vincent de Paul Society, or SVP for short, is a group of volunteer parishioners who set out to help anyone in need.

Firstly SVP Conference, Horsham would like to thank everyone who has supported us, financially and with your time, since our last appeal.  Through a very difficult year when things weren’t easy for anyone, as always you were brilliant – THANK YOU.

SVP Conference, Horsham is appealing once again. We are a small team and need your assistance now possibly more than ever. The variety of people needing our support has greatly increased. There are local families short of food, lonely people who need a friend, people worried going out and resuming their normal activities after Covid restrictions, people struggling with financial hardship, or those facing illness.

In order to support those we do at the moment and inevitably those who will need our help in the year ahead, please consider becoming an SVP member.  Work with us to help in whatever way you can – whether it’s shopping, phoning someone for a chat, spending time on the telephone rescheduling hospital appointments, practical help around the home.  Even if it’s an hour once in awhile, you’ll be supporting us supporting others.

In addition, if you could make a donation that would also be a huge help too.

Thank you

Telephone 07765778413 or email stjohnssvp’outlook.com. Please help – we can only do this with your continuing support.

Thank you.
