Car park · what's changing
From Sunday 1 November 2026, every parishioner needs to
register on our new parish database
in order to use the car park during the day time.
It only takes a few minutes, here's everything you need to know.
A Parking System That Works for Our Parish
We’re making positive changes to make parking easier and fairer for our parish. Under the old system, spaces were often taken by members of the public, making it harder for parishioners and other legitimate users to park.
Under the new managed system, public parking will no longer be permitted during Peak Hours (07:00–19:00). Parishioners can register for free or extended paid parking, depending on their needs, making it easier to find a space for Mass and other parish activities.
The Anytime Parking option will also help us raise funds for parish initiatives, social outreach, evangelisation and the upkeep of our beautiful church.
When can I park at St Johns?
The diagram below shows the Peak Hours and when parishioners and members of the public may use the car park.
Registered parishioners may park according to the option they selected on the Registration Form.
Members of the public and unregistered parishioners may not park in the car park during Peak Hours (07:00 and 19:00)

Which option is right for you?
When you register using the simple online form, you'll choose the option that best matches suits your needs. You only need to do this once per year. The new car park regulations will go live on the 1 November 2026, and you will receive a helpful reminder before-hand via email and parish notices.
