Dear Friends,
This Sunday we continue in the joyful season of the Resurrection. In the Gospel this weekend we hear of how our Lord appears to the disciples whom he finds to be both ‘agitated’ and ‘scared’. The Lord says “Peace be with you” who in the midst of these disturbing circumstances reassures the Apostles of the veracity of His risen presence and how bearing the tokens of the Passion, reminds them that suffering and sadness leads to the bright promise of new life and restoration.
Let us place our ‘agitations’ and ‘worries’ at the feet of the Risen Lord! Let us open our hearts to the spirit of the Lord who we see in the Acts of the Apostles embolden the disciples to fearless service of the Good News.
