Fr Xavier Writes 1st October 2023
It’s been a busy sort of a week getting to know a number of parishioners on different occasions and meetings. As someone said, that I am very brave to take this responsible job of taking care of the whole parish community, coming new to this country from India, and all that I do is to leave it to the care and guidance of the Lord who called me. I can, for sure, do more when He is with me.
I had the pleasure of attending the Parish Grandparents’ Group which I thought was so impressive to me as to how they are so organized and do a lot of planned programs for the Grandparents. I like to be a part of it and do my best to bring them comfort and enable the group to flourish.
I also had the pleasure of attending the Italian group celebrating the 101st Birthday of our cherished parishioner Mr. Francesco De Antonis and enjoyed being with them to wish him a Happy Birthday personally. I pray and wish God go with him and bring him more returns of his birthday in good health.
It will be great to look forward to meeting children and families desiring to be baptized and to receive Holy Communion in the forthcoming weeks, because they are the ones who make the future of this parish. I am so pleased to be part of this lovely parish that is so organized with lots of activities to make the Faith alive and active. Wish you all a very pleasant week ahead.
