Mary’s Meals
The vision at Mary’s Meals is simple- that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things.
For some years now we have supported Mary’s Meals Backpack appeal. This provides a backpack filled with items needed for school and a spoon to eat the basic meal provided. (This is usually a porridge type meal cooked by parents.) We hope to pack on Sunday 26th September at 2.00pm in the hall. Items still needed include Flip flops to fit children age 4-12, spoons (tspoons, dessert or soup), hand towels and the bags themselves. If you can donate any of these new or second hand please bring them to the office or leave them at the back of the church, If you can help with packing that would be wonderful and we look forward to seeing you. For many children this is the first gift they have received. On their behalf “Thank You” in anticipation!
